2021 PITCH NIGHT A BIG SUCCESS!
The 2020-21 school year was another exciting year of innovation in the Business Incubator program at Lake Forest High School. This year saw the formation of 11 student teams, guided and mentored by local business leaders. Each team stepped up to the challenge of creating the foundation for its new business while often working remotely, demonstrating their ability to adapt to the current context with extraordinary resiliency and commitment to their business.
The LFHS Foundation is proud to give them a platform to share their ideas with our community in the hopes of attracting investors and raising much needed start-up capital through donations.
In early March, all 11 teams presented minimum viable product (MVP) pitches for our judges. Each team was provided with feedback and funding for the MVP process. During the next phase of the process, 5 self-selected student teams will make their Academic Pitches, which will take place virtually on May 13 and May 14. At that time our panel of judges will determine which teams will move on to Pitch Night, the ultimate competition for recognition and financial awards. The teams moving on were announced on May 17 and participated in Pitch Night on May 20, 2021.
