MissionTo support, enrich, and enhance the Lake Forest High School experience for all students, faculty, and staff by investing in educational excellence.
Investing in Educational Excellence
We have built a partnership with LFHS teachers, students and administrators to assist in creating a top-notch learning environment for all. Limited only by their imagination, teachers and students apply for grants that help provide unparalleled learning experiences. The Foundation carefully vets these requests to insure that we are making strategic investments in educational excellence.
Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded more than 290 grants totaling over $2.2 million. Grants like the Business Incubator, Makerspace, 21stCentury Learning Labs, Sound Studio, and World Language Lab have helped to transform classrooms into learning spaces that mirror professional environments providing students with opportunities to gain real world experience across the curriculum. In 2019 alone, 13 new grants across 9 curricular areas were funded at over $147K. These include additional redesigned science labs, virtual reality headsets, an audio-visual update for the Raymond Moore Auditorium, a website conversion for The Forest Scout, the final 20% of funding needed for the new Fazioli Concert Grand Piano and much more! |
Providing collaborative learning spaces, cutting-edge technology and world-class materials across the curriculum.
Donors & Sponsors Sponsors at our 2018 Luncheon
The positive and lasting impact the Foundation has at LFHS is only possible due to the generosity of our community. Every donation is valued and vital. Each year the Foundation partners with local businesses in a variety of ways to raise additional funds for grants. Event sponsorships and in-kind donations are critical to our success. Over the past decade, the spring luncheon has been our cornerstone fundraising event. We rely on these annual contributions from families and businesses in our community to achieve our mission. Visit our Donors & Sponsors page to learn more.
