Digital Video Camera Pilot Five Flip HD video cameras and five Kodak xi8 HD video cameras were purchased by the Foundation as a pilot program to evaluate the technology for instructional use, and to compare the benefits of both cameras. Teachers and students found using the cameras stimulated creativity, enhanced research and allowed for immediate viewing and assessment of the work product. The cameras were used across curricular areas by the English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Business Ed, Telecom, Art, Dance, Wellness and World Language departments. Applications for this technology ranged from field trip and oral history enhancement to capturing the moment of chemical reaction in a lab experiment for further analysis. |
