Mark McMahon Painting

Lake Forest High School 75th Anniversary
Commemorative Art Work By Mark McMahon

"Kids and Cars - A Classic Reunion"

Mark McMahon PrintThis lovely full-color original painting by local professional artist and LFHS alumnus Mark McMahon was specially commissioned by the LFHS Foundation and generously underwritten by Knauz Motors Lake Bluff.

The image captures the essence of high school students socializing in their favorite cars, wearing distinct apparel of their respective eras, with an array of classic auto models from the ‘30s through the early 21st century.

This painting has details exclusive to Lake Forest High School.   View authentic automobiles and images from each decade, beginning at the entrance with the 1930's and gradually moving around the famous horseshoe driveway, completing the drive with today’s kids and cars.  Mayor Swarthout's red truck can't be missed, but can you find the "Woody” that was a 1960's favorite?  And what recent alumni don’t recall Mr. Eaton, garbed in his checkerboard blazer, greeting incoming students at the door with a cheery hello?  From lettermen sweaters, to bobby socks, Homecoming courts to rock music t-shirts, this painting captures the feeling of LFHS throughout its75 years of excellence - and reminds you of all the fun experienced at the high school!

Full-color signed giclée prints are available for purchase in 4 sizes. Personalization on art work is available at no extra cost. To download an order form, please click here.
